The best Caramel Popcorn recipe I have made and it is as easy as pie! Mine came out perfect. Needless to say it didn't last to be stored in any container. Don't forget the baking soda.

This recipe is amazing. I work full time and have a full time job with my family, so cooking usually takes effort and energy I don't have. This is fast and easy and YUMMY! The only thing I changed is reducing the butter by 25%. It was still delicious, I'll be making this again and again through the fall and the holidays.

This really worked and was so easy. You could easily add nuts, dried fruit, or whatever you like. It could easily be made into Christmas gifts.

I have a recipe like this but it calls for spraying the inside of the bag with a non stick spray. Not sure if that's because of the chemicals used in processing paper bags, once the heat from the microwave hits it, make me weary. Still a good recipe though. Any thoughts??

So quick & easy...even though I forgot the baking soda. I was out of corn syrup & used maple syrup (nobody even noticed). It took about 20 minutes & it was gone.

The first time I made this, I forgot the butter. So the second time I made it, I remembered it, but it was better without the butter! It seemed like the butter made it too mushy. Of course it tasted good, so I ate it anyway, but I think next time I will cut way back on the butter.

Absolutely wonderful! And super easy! What more could you ask for? Update: The first time I made it I used real butter. Just made it again using Smart Balance margarine. Not nearly as good! Will just have to use the good stuff!

I followed the recipe as stated but for a few changes. I swapped corn syrup for what we call Golden Syrup in New Zealand. Halved the sauce and because I had no paper bag big enough, I lined my roasting dish with baking paper, spread out popcorn and poured sauce over. Baked at 180 celsius for a few minutes - stired and a few minutes more. It browned nicely and came out crispy and wonderful! Now I'm on the lookout for paper bags especially for this recipe.

heavenly treat! This is wonderful... but I agree with the fact that it is addicting and the "just one more"'s add up and before you know it, the whole bag is gone!

Amazing! While I was making it, the crowd in the kitchen said things like "I'm terrified of what you're doing to that popcorn!" They thought it would overcook due to being returned to the microwave . . . their concerns turned to cheers! Seriously: SO good, SO easy . . . and simple cleanup! I made this with 1 pan and 1 spatula. I added some toasted pecans, just 'cause I had them and they were a great addition. Paper bag worked great, not a single negative about this one! Great post!

This is SOOOO good and easy! However, do yourself a favor. First, transfer your popcorn into a blow and then to another, leaving all of the unpoped kernels at the bottom of the first bowl. Toss the unpoped kernels. Return popcorn to bowl. This takes less than a minute and saves you a lot of time later (you don't have to find the unpoped kernels stuck in caramel!) When my caramel mixture was ready, I poured it unto the popcorn and tossed the caramel eavenly in the bowl to make sure the popcorn got evenly coated. Then, I transfered the coated popcorn into the brown paper bag. Depending on your microwave, it might be smart to cook it only 30 sec. at a time or to reduce the power because the first time I made it it burned. I cooked mine for 1:30 minutes (30 sec. at a time) at a reduced 50% power and it turned out perfectly. Note: For dairy-free version, replace the butter with 1/2 cup of Safflower oil.
