Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
Followed the recipe to a T and it was marvelous! Next time I'll chop the ginger in huge chunks to make it even yummier. I had both chicken breasts and thighs, and liked them equally; this would be amazing if I could find a reliable way to make the chicken crispy. I'll have fun experimenting!

Dijon-Dill Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
This was a lovely way to enjoy Brussels sprouts with all of its taste, plus some extra zing. I'll never eat plain Brussels sprouts again!

Lighter Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
Yum, these turn out great every time. Definitely didn't find them dry. Only used 1/3 of the sugar called for in the recipe, and it was still very sweet, probably don't even need any added sugar with all of the bananas. The banana taste was quite strong (which I love!). And no fat! Can't ask for more!

Lighter Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
These are very good. I usually don't put oil and lots of sugar in my muffins anyway, so this is a great recipe. It is very strongly banana tasting! I added some vanilla, ginger, cinnamon, and a tsp of baking powder because I wanted them as puffy as possible. I also only put 1/4 cup brown sugar (instead of white), and they're still really sweet, I think you could even not bother with the sugar, the bananas make them nice and sweet. I made mini muffins, got 24 mini muffins plus 6 mini muffin tops out of this. Yumyum. Good texture too, not dry or chewy at all. I'll be making these again.

BBQ Glazed Homemade Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
it was an easy and tasty recipe. i didn't have the liquid smoking flavouring so instead i used soya sauce and it came out just as good. maybe next time i would dilute the glazing sauce with water since it dried out completely.

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
I made these last night and they were absolutely delicious! However, I followed some the recommendations in the comments left by other memebers. Instead of the whole cup of ketchup I split half of it to be BBQ sauce and to thicken the sauce I added cornstarch (but only after I cooked the prok chops; and did the sauce in a saucepan). Served it with green beans, wax beans, and celery cooked in garlic margarine, celery seed and chives along with rice. Definitely making this again, it's a keeper!

Shish Tawook Marinated Chicken

Loved this. Really tender, juicy chicken. I didn't use as much allspice as the recipe called for.

Warm Mushroom Spread

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
Very good! I used three different types of mushrooms such as Chanterelle, Portabella and the regular white ones, the combinations just gave a fantastic taste. You can use the same combination in another recipe: Hungarian mushrooms soup.

only buy fresh seafood, otherwise it affects the taste of the dish! unfortunately, the sauce was nothing special.

Peanut Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
I loved this stir-fry! I added tofu, carrots, red bell pepper and an extra spoonful of peanut butter. Served it over rice, and got major compliments from the boyfriend and step-mother! Definitely making this again; it's quick and tastes awesome.

Sesame Chicken with Honey Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
These were really good, especially for a light dinner served with salad. We didn't have the dried minced onion so I used fresh -which may not have been the best idea since it the onion taste overpowered some elements- and used honey mustard salad dressing to dip because i was a little skeptical of that much mayo in there. Turned out good however, thanks for sharing.
